The V-Power program
A statistical tool for sensory tests

Sensory professionals are frequently faced with the following questions: is there a significant difference between the products, what is the required sample size, what is the power of the test, can I conclude that two products are not different?
The V-Power program offers a simple and quick way to estimate the power of the test and the required sample size for a specified alpha and beta error.

V-power has been written by Virginie Jesionka and is based on the Discrimination Test Planning and Analysis Tools developed by Tom Carr (Carr Consulting, 1215 Washington Ave. Suite 203 Wilmette, IL 60091 USA)
